Making money selling ebooks on ebay?

I’ve bought quite a few ebooks from ebay and am thinking about re-selling them. I can see so many people make money that way but what I don’t get is how do they cover the ebay charges? There are hundreds/thousands of people selling the same kind of information so a lot of your listings would presumably go unsold. Listings can be expensive so how do they still make a profit?

Well ebay bumped up its charges so it is a lot harder but not impossible. A few tips to beat other people are:

Most Importantly – Make YOUR listing the best! Make it sound fantastic! Have colourful fonts and different sizes, you could give them free postage but alter the starting price accordingly. Have excerpts from newspapers or appraisals that are written on the book and type in the blurb on the back so people can get a feel for it, also write your own personal thoughts about the book.

Start your starting price at a lower price – encourage more bidders.

Make sure you take a good picture of the book on a good background with good light. Adding this picture to the gallery will also encourage sales and set out your listing well.

Only really pay extra for listing designer on things that will give you a lot of profit.
